1-2-3-Meet Process

New Matches are members who have been identified as potential matches for you based on your preferences. We’ll send you free personalized matches with the potential to trigger chemistry. Each day, you can discover who they are and decide if you’d like learn more about them.

In order to receive additional New Matches, you must first move your matches to either Connections, Decide Later or to your “Not Really” list. If you indicate that you are interested in a new match, Chemistry will move that match to Connections. If you would like more time to decide on a match, you can select Decide Later and we will move that match into a “Decide Later” list. If you are not interested, that member will be moved to your “Not Really” list and made inactive.

In order to move a member out of your New Matches list, review the profile of each match and determine if you would like to begin getting to know more about that match. If you are ready to begin getting to know a match, the profile will be moved to Connections where you can begin getting to know the match.

Interested In You includes members who have reviewed your profile and indicated a high level of interest in getting to know you.

You should review their profile and let us know if you are interested in moving forward. Based on your level of interest, the profile will be either moved to your Active Matches where you can begin the four-stage communication process or moved to your Archives.

Active Matches includes those members you are actively getting to know through the four-stage communication process.

At a glance, you are able to see where you are in the process with each match, whether you're waiting for a response to your questions or if it's your turn to respond.

"Nudge" allows you to send a reminder to matches that have not responded to your most recent communication. You can send one nudge per stage to a match. The feature is available during the Interested in You, Relationship Essentials and Short Answer stages of the communication process and is a subscriber only feature.

To send a nudge, click the "Nudge" button. An email will be sent to your match reminding them that you are still interested in continuing the Guided Communication process and are waiting for their response. A nudge message will also appear next to your name on their Active Matches or Interested in You page.

The "Nudge" feature is available after 48 hours have passed without a response from your match.

Relationship Essentials gives you the chance to rate qualities and characteristics you are looking for in a potential partner as important or not important and then compare your responses with your match’s responses.

As you start the Relationship Essentials stage with each of your matches you have the opportunity to rank various qualities and characteristics, such as neatness, feelings on family life, sense of humor and pets as important or not important. After you rank all of the item and your match ranks them, you will be able to compare each other’s answers and review insights on the personality type of the member with whom you are connecting.

After you have completed the Relationship Essentials stage once, you will have the option of using the Relationship Essentials you selected previously or you can change your rankings to fit your ever-changing life. It's up to you.

Once you have selected and sent your Relationship Essentials you cannot go back and change your selections. Changes can be made only when you first enter the Relationship Essentials step with a new match.

Short Answers, where you select questions for your match to answer. When you go to select the questions, we’ll offer you recommendations based on your match’s personality type.

At the same time you are selecting your questions, your match will select questions for you to answer. Once you and your match have answered the questions you sent each other, you will both be able to review the other person’s answers.

In order to get the most honest answers, neither you nor your match will see each other’s responses until you have both answered the questions sent.

Chemistry email is completely secure and exchanged through our site, not sent directly to your email address, so your personal information is protected. To see your new messages or send an email, click the email link at the top of the page or on your Connections page.

The First-Meeting™, or in-person meeting, is a unique tool designed to help you meet face-to-face and gauge the level of chemistry between you and your match.

When, and if, you're ready to meet in person, our patent-pending process will help you find a mutually convenient time and place for your First-Meeting™. We also provide you with follow-up tools after your First-Meeting™ so that you can give and receive feedback on your date.
